The Amateur Law Professor Welcomes New Associate Professor

by

Those of you who have been following the blog know that the long-standing policy at The Amateur Law Professor has been to not blog land use decision. In the humble opinion of the Dean, land use attorneys are nerds. As such, they were called out as nerds and simply given a link to the opinion.

Simply put, these shenanigans, for the good of the legal community, need to stop.

As luck would have it, one of the foremost authorities (that I know, anyway) on Land Use in Washington State has graciously agreed to blog those opinions. He is well-founded in nerdocity, a stellar human being, and would often be confused with me before I had LASEK surgery.

May I present Associate Professor of Land Use – Ryan Carson:

Ryan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2008. He served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Susan Owens of the Washington State Supreme Court. During law School, Ryan served as Note and Comment Editor on the Seattle University Law Review, President of the Environmental Law Society, and comped in moot court. Ryan has also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Tom Chambers, and worked during his third year of law school at Stritmatter Kessler Whelan Coluccio.
